Elegance is made by contrasts : glossy and matt, minimal and elaborate, delicate and determined. The book is a homage to Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs and tells the story of the most important brands, in an union of contrasts. When you have the book in your hands, you can feel the roughness of the dust-jacket and the ends, in contraposition to the perfect smoothing of the content pages: the pairing of the style.

This book is about the exclusivity of the creations by Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs, and it demanded time and concentration. Publishing and high couture met in this book: we dressed the book with an “Origami” dust-jacket, printed on Imitlin Flat paper, embellished with a complex system of handmade folded.

We used two Kurz hot foils in order to highlight the separation and the contrast between the two parts of the logo on the front cover. It’s a slightly difference for an imperceptible but visible effect.

The book is printed on coated matt paper of 150 g/m2 with an insert printed on uncoated paper of 80 g/m2.

We used our Offset machines as well as a complete line at the bindery, and we added a master’s touch with a series of handmade works, accurate and meticulous.

The delicacy of this product is in the double cover that makes the book structure and its stitching more solid and durable.

On page 104 we carry you back in time. Where? In Paris at the end of the 19th century, when the Lumiere Brothers invented the cinematographe, when the bar Folies-Bergère was crowded, when Louis Vuitton became one of the most important designers and entrepreneurs. How is that possible? We sewn and bound by hand an insert that reproduces a catalogue released by the French brand in 1892.
